# Team Visma | Lease a Bike Eyes Strong Finish After Solid Performance in Tour de Romandie Stage 3

As the Tour de Romandie progresses, Team Visma | Lease a Bike showcased resilience and strategic navigation during the third stage, featuring a 176-kilometre route that took riders through undulating terrain starting and finishing in Orbe. A breakaway of seven riders initially formed, gaining a maximum lead of two minutes before the team kept a watchful eye on their standout competitor, Jørgen Nordhagen.

Nordhagen demonstrated his climbing prowess during the challenging nine-kilometre ascent of the Col du Mollendruz, maintaining his position with a strong group. Following the ascent, the remaining breakaway riders were caught up in the descent, setting the stage for a final sprint among a smaller peloton. Dorian Godon emerged victorious, with Nordhagen crossing the finish line seamlessly alongside him.

Reflecting on the day’s performance, sports director Gaëtan Pons stated, “We’re pleased with how the day went. The main objective was not to lose any time in the general classification, and we managed that. We’d also liked to have had someone in the breakaway today, as we thought they’d make it to the finish. The lads certainly gave it a go, but unfortunately it wasn’t to be. After that, all focus was on Jørgen. They did an excellent job of that.”

With two stages remaining, Nordhagen currently holds a commendable fourth place in the overall standings. “So far, things are going exactly as we want,” he remarked, reinforcing the team’s ambitious goal of finishing in the top five of the general classification. “There are two tough stages to come, so we will have to do our very best to see this through to a successful conclusion.”
