Roger Adrià Makes WorldTour Move with BORA – hansgrohe
Roger Adrià, the talented climber, is set to join the WorldTour with BORA – hansgrohe starting from January 1. This will mark the first time in his career that Adrià will ride for an international team. His recent 8th place overall finish at the Arctic Race of Norway has boosted his profile and earned him a well-deserved promotion.
The Vuelta a España, which starts in Adrià’s birthplace of Barcelona, will be his first challenge with his new team. The mountainous terrain of La Vuelta aligns perfectly with the 25-year-old’s climbing strengths and explosiveness, making it an ideal opportunity for him to shine.
Rolf Aldag, the Head of Sports at BORA – hansgrohe, sees great potential in Adrià, stating, “Roger is a diamond in the rough. He has already proven his talent with great results, but we think there is still a lot of potential in him. We can help with that with our structure and tools, from training management to nutrition and equipment. We see him as a punchy climber. We’ll find out together in the coming months about his climbing strengths in the high mountains.”
Adrià himself is thrilled about the opportunity to join BORA – hansgrohe, stating, “Stepping into the WorldTour with BORA – hansgrohe is a dream come true. It’s a great team and the perfect one for me so I can keep taking steps forward. I’m really happy to be part of it.”
With this move, Roger Adrià is poised to continue his growth as a cyclist and make a name for himself on the international stage. The support and resources provided by BORA – hansgrohe will undoubtedly aid him in reaching his full potential.
