Leading Belgian cycling team, Lotto Soudal, has announced that Tim Wellens and Thomas De Gendt will be sporting new colors on their Ridley bikes for the 2021 season. The decision highlights Ridley’s Customizer program, which allows customers to design their own bikes.
De Gendt expressed his excitement about his new Burgundy-colored bike with white Ridley logos, stating, “I’m really happy with this bike. I think the result will be super successful. In the end, I also got to choose the design myself.”
Ridley and Lotto Soudal will continue their partnership in 2021, with the team using the Noah Fast Disc, Helium SLX Disc, and Dean Fast as their preferred bikes.
Jochim Aerts, CEO of Belgian Cycling Factory, the umbrella company of Ridley, expressed his delight about the continued collaboration, saying, “We have already created such a beautiful history together. I am convinced that we will have success in the next season as well.”
The team will rely on the Noah Fast Disc for sprint races, but the bike will also make appearances in hilly and cobbled races due to its all-round aerodynamic design. Meanwhile, the Helium SLX Disc remains the most popular choice among the riders for its low weight and aggressive handling.
