Bahrain Victorious Gears Up for the Legendary “Strade Bianche” With High Hopes

Bahrain Victorious is preparing to tackle the iconic Tuscan gravel roads of Strade Bianche this weekend, marking the start of the WorldTour racing season in Italy. The team is set to face new challenges on the extended course that spans over 200 km, including 71 km of gravel roads and more than 4000 meters of elevation gain.

According to Sports Director Roman Kreuziger, “The race will undoubtedly pose greater challenges this year…It promises to be a spectacular race, provided the weather holds, and our riders execute their strategy.”

Lead rider Matej Mohorič, the current Gravel World Champion, is optimistic about the team’s chances, stating, “I approach the race with cautious ambition, determined to perform well and contend for victory.”

With a talented line-up backing Mohorič, including the experienced Andrea Pasqualon as road captain, Bahrain Victorious is aiming for a top-five finish and even eyeing a potential victory at the prestigious event. Kreuziger believes that success on the demanding white roads requires both physical prowess and strategic positioning, expressing confidence in the team’s ability to compete with strong contenders and fight for the win.
