Julian Alaphilippe Leads Soudal Quick-Step at Tour de Luxembourg
Soudal Quick-Step has announced its six-man squad for the upcoming Tour de Luxembourg, with Julian Alaphilippe headlining the team. The race, known for its hilly terrain, promises to be an exciting event with opportunities for both puncheurs and attackers.
After his impressive performances in Canada two weeks ago, where he displayed his strength in one-day races, Alaphilippe is ready to lead the team once again. He will be joined by Andrea Bagioli, Dries Devenyns, Fausto Masnada, Ilan Van Wilder, and Mauri Vansevenant.
Sports director Wilfried Peeters explained the team’s strategy for the race, saying, “We have a very strong and motivated team for this race and we will try to go for a stage victory, but we’ll wait for the individual time trial on Saturday to see what is possible to do in the general classification.”
The Tour de Luxembourg, in its 83rd edition, consists of five days of racing, including two uphill finishes, plenty of short but steep climbs, and a 23.9km individual time trial. The team is looking forward to the challenge and aims to make their mark in this final stage race of the season.
