Israel – Premier Tech Aims for More Success in France as it Returns to Paris – Nice
Israel – Premier Tech is gearing up for this year’s Paris – Nice race with a versatile squad, looking to build on their success in French stage races. The team is combining a sprint group led by Pascal Ackermann and Hugo Hofstetter with the strategic prowess of Jakob Fuglsang and Hugo Houle to target more victories in France.
The team’s Sports Director, Oscar Guerrero, emphasizes the importance of the team time trial to keep their General Classification (GC) options open. He highlights that the challenging climbs in stage four will suit Fuglsang, setting the tone for the team’s strategy in the final stages of the race.
Hugo Houle, a key rider for the team, is expected to provide support for Fuglsang while also being prepared to seize opportunities if they arise. The race’s route caters to sprinters as well, with Ackermann supported by teammates Michael Schwarzmann and Rick Zabel for lead-outs on sprint stages.
Guererro expresses optimism about Ackermann’s chances in the sprints and stresses the team’s goal of competing for podium finishes and victories. This year marks IPT’s fifth appearance in Paris – Nice, with Houle achieving the team’s best result of 13th overall in 2022.
With a strong roster of riders and experienced Sports Directors, Israel – Premier Tech is poised for a competitive performance at Paris – Nice.
