The 2023 USA Cycling Masters & Para-cycling Road National Championships concluded in Augusta, Georgia, with over 90 national titles being awarded to master and para athletes. The five-day event saw 724 participants from all over the country.
The competition started with road races for para-athletes at the nearby Fort Gordon Army base. Various classifications competed on different lap distances, with Dennis Connors and Amanda Kloepfer emerging as champions in the Men’s and Women’s T2 categories, respectively.
On the second day, athletes raced against the clock in the Time Trial. Alfredo Delossantos and Elizabeth Neag set the fastest times in their respective categories.
The third day featured more road races, with Kent Bostick and Frederic Schmid standing out as winners in the Master Men’s 70-74 and Master Men’s 90-94 categories, respectively.
The final day of the championship showcased exciting criterium events held at the Augusta Commons. Sebastian Cano and Shannon Koch took home the titles in the Master Men’s and Women’s 35-39 Criterium races.
Overall, the event showcased the talent and dedication of master and para athletes from around the country, with over 90 national titles being awarded.
