Michael Matthews Claims Sixth Podium Finish at the 2023 GP de Québec
Australian rider Michael Matthews has once again proven himself as a strong contender at the GP de Québec, securing a third-place finish in a reduced group sprint. This victory marks Matthews’ sixth trip to the podium in the event, showcasing his consistent performance over the years.
Matthews, who previously secured back-to-back victories in 2018 and 2019, as well as a third-place finish in 2017 and two second places in 2022 and 2015, expressed his satisfaction with his podium finish. He acknowledged his mistimed sprint but applauded his teammates for their support and praised the team’s overall performance.
Speaking about Matthew’s podium finish, Sport Director Mat Hayman highlighted the rider’s impressive track record in the race.
