Four Riders Extend Contracts with BORA – Hansgrohe, Including Veteran Cesare Benedetti

Four riders, including veteran Cesare Benedetti, have signed contract extensions with German UCI WorldTeam, BORA – hansgrohe. In addition to Benedetti, Jonas Koch, Ryan Mullen, and Frederik Wandahl will also continue to ride for the team.

Benedetti, who has been with BORA – hansgrohe since its inception, will be entering his 15th season with the team. As the most experienced rider, he plays a crucial role in mentoring the younger team members. Benedetti’s professionalism and expertise have made him a valuable road captain and a respected figure within the team.

Koch and Mullen have proven themselves as reliable all-rounders over the past two seasons. They have contributed to the team’s success, particularly in the classics group. Koch has also shown his finishing speed in pursuit of individual results, while Mullen has focused on time trial discipline, winning the Irish national title for the sixth time this season.

Wandahl, a neo-pro who joined BORA – hansgrohe in 2021, made a remarkable comeback in the second half of the season after recovering from a serious injury following a crash in the spring. At just 22 years old, Wandahl has already demonstrated his potential in demanding races such as the Bretagne Classic.

The contract extensions of these four riders demonstrate the team’s commitment to building a strong roster for the upcoming seasons. The riders’ continued presence will undoubtedly contribute to BORA – hansgrohe’s future success in the world of professional cycling.
