ProTeam Taminiaux takes second win of the week in Zwevezele

# Taminiaux Clinches Second Victory of the Week in Zwevezele

Taminiaux has made headlines this week by securing his second victory, triumphing once again in Zwevezele—an area he knows intimately, having achieved success there previously in 2022. “That year I also won two kermis races in a row,” he reminisced. “Apparently, I can really get into a good flow around this time of year. Because at the end of September, it’s not only about the legs still being strong, but also about staying mentally sharp and motivated. I’m genuinely happy that I can still recharge myself easily right now.”

His experience is paying off in spades. Following an earlier victory in Vichte earlier this week, Taminiaux recorded a third major win in Zwevezele. “We quickly formed a leading group of fifteen riders, including Lorenz Van de Wynkele, but also Yves Lampaert and Pieter Serry, among others. We stayed at the front the whole race, but in the finale, two riders managed to get away. In the end, I broke clear with Stan Van Tricht and Victor Vercouillie, and the three of us, together with one of the other escapees, stayed ahead to contest the sprint,” he explained.

“I’m really happy with this win. Same on Tuesday, even if Vichte isn’t the biggest race,” Taminiaux remarked, adding a more personal perspective on his goals. “I’ve made it a small personal goal to add every existing kermis race to my palmarès. Of course, I would also have liked to win a bigger race this year, but that hasn’t happened yet. I’ll finish the season with the Italian block, so I hope I can carry this current form over there.”

As the racing season continues, fans eagerly anticipate Taminiaux’s performance as he seeks to maintain this remarkable momentum.
