Ewen Costiou Finishes 9th in Grand Prix de Wallonie

In a highly competitive Grand Prix de Wallonie race, Ewen Costiou secured a respectable 9th place finish. Reflecting on the intense competition, Costiou acknowledged the team’s effort and strategy throughout the race.

Costiou highlighted the team’s successful positioning by stating, “The whole team did a great job for Arnaud and me from start to finish. Luca and Jenthe did a great job to place us at the foot of the last climb and in the foothills of the citadel, which put us in the top 5-10.”

However, Costiou encountered some unexpected obstacles that hindered his performance. He explained, “Two riders come out to fight it out for the win, and I can’t get going right away. I went out against the clock, then in the last bend, a rider crashed into the barriers, leaving Arnaud and myself stranded, and we came to a halt to negotiate the last 300 meters.”

Despite his disappointment with the outcome, Costiou expressed gratitude towards his team for their support and teamwork. He concluded, “I’m disappointed because I really could have done better in terms of results. But I’d like to thank the team for their confidence and the work done by our teammates.”
