Another GC Podium for Team Bahrain Victorious at the Tour de Pologne!

# Team Bahrain Victorious Celebrates Another GC Podium at Tour de Pologne 2025

The 82nd edition of the Tour de Pologne proved to be a remarkable event for Team Bahrain Victorious, as Antonio Tiberi secured second place in the General Classification (GC) following an impressive performance in the decisive time trial. This podium finish marks the team’s fourth top-three GC result in the last five seasons of this storied race.

The Tour de Pologne, known for its challenging terrain, featured seven grueling stages covering 926.2 km and ascending 15,352 meters. The opening stage began in Wroclaw and concluded in Legnica, emphasizing speed where young talent Vlad van Mechelen finished a commendable 13th among the top sprinters. As the competition transitioned to more rugged terrains in the subsequent stages, Tiberi positioned himself as a strong contender, sitting fifth overall by the end of stage two, just 12 seconds shy of the leader.

Stage three presented a hazardous landscape, leading to multiple riders, including Jack Haig, veering off the road during a perilous descent. Due to these circumstances, the race was neutralized, allowing Pello Bilbao to finish second, while Tiberi kept his momentum in the overall standings.

Team Bahrain Victorious showcased remarkable teamwork and strategy, often dictating the pace of the peloton. Despite numerous uphill challenges, the racers maintained competitiveness; the 5th stage concluded in the infamous ski town of Zakopane, with Tiberi firmly in fourth place overall.

The penultimate stage, a daunting five-ascent Cat 1 challenge, saw Bilbao secure a third-place finish, while Tiberi earned a slight bonus, elevating him to third in the GC, now only 20 seconds from the lead. The final stage’s time trial became the defining moment, with Brandon McNulty from UAE Team Emirates clinching both the stage and the overall victory, leaving Tiberi to settle for the second podium position after finishing fourth in the time trial.

Reflecting on his performance throughout the week, Antonio Tiberi expressed satisfaction: “I have very good feelings, and I’m happy with how I finished this Tour de Pologne. For sure, it boosts my morale ahead of La Vuelta and gives me more certainty about my condition. I never held back when it came to making an effort, and whenever I had the legs, I tried to attack.”

Praising his teammates, Tiberi acknowledged their efforts: “I’m truly grateful for their commitment. They believed in me until the end, and the staff members worked for me until late at night.”

Team Sports Director Michal Golaš congratulated the team on their hard work, stating, “We missed out by just a little bit on the GC victory, but I’m super happy with how the guys worked this week. It was truly one of the greatest weeks I’ve had with the team. Everybody deserves a share of this podium.”

With strong collective performance and an eye on future events, Team Bahrain Victorious heads into the next season inspired and driven, proving yet again that teamwork and determination can go a long way in the world of competitive cycling.
