ProTeam Brent Van Moer two more years at Lotto Soudal

# Brent Van Moer Signs Two-Year Extension with Lotto Soudal

Brent Van Moer and Lotto Soudal have officially confirmed their collaboration will continue until at least the end of 2023. The young Belgian rider, who gained acclaim after winning the opening stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné, has extended his contract with the team—a decision he made following a thorough evaluation of offers from several other squads.

At just 23 years old, Van Moer has become a key figure at Lotto Soudal since turning pro from the Lotto Soudal U23 team in June 2019. Reflecting on his decision to stay, he stated, **“I received a nice offer and didn’t need much time to think about it, despite several other teams being interested. I feel really good within the team, have an excellent relationship with all of my teammates and also with the team staff. I love to be on the races with this group.”**

Van Moer is enthusiastic about developing his skills further with Lotto Soudal. **“At Lotto Soudal I get the chance to develop into a really strong rider,”** he explained. **“I can also still explore where the best of my abilities are. At the shorter stage races? Or at the Classics? Next year, I already want to fight for the victory at the semi-classics. I am really ambitious.”**

His impressive track record includes a silver medal at the U23 time trial world championships, and he is keen to further push his limits in that discipline.

Lotto Soudal General Manager, John Lelangue, echoed the sentiment of growth and potential. **“Brent is the perfect example of a rider who is trained at Lotto Soudal and keeps making progress. Into a winner,”** he remarked. **“The young guys are our future.”** He added that despite interest from other teams, Van Moer is valued highly at Lotto Soudal, where he receives more opportunities than just being a domestique.

Concluding his thoughts, Brent Van Moer said, **“And the team can continue to rely on me to work for the other guys. Nothing beats the feeling of giving it all for a winner like Caleb Ewan. Winning, that is why we became professional athletes in the first place.”**

This extended partnership signals a bright future for both Van Moer and Lotto Soudal, as they aim for competitive success in the seasons to come.
