ProTeam Jonas Gregaard to Lotto Dstny

# Jonas Gregaard Joins Lotto Dstny for 2024 Season

Jonas Gregaard, the 27-year-old Danish cyclist, has officially signed a two-year deal with Lotto Dstny, marking an exciting new chapter in his professional career. “Jonas is an allrounder and a team player,” expressed CEO Stéphane Heulot. He emphasized that Gregaard “will give our team more depth in races with a lot of altitude meters.”

During the previous two seasons with Uno-X Pro Cycling Team, Gregaard showcased his abilities as a reliable domestique, supporting teammates like Tobias Halland Johannessen and Alexander Kristoff. However, he is keen to play a more aggressive role moving forward. “I’m an allrounder with good climbing legs,” Gregaard stated. He expressed admiration for Lotto Dstny’s Andreas Kron and Maxim Van Gils, admitting, “If I have to compare myself with someone of Lotto Dstny, I would say they are both a bit stronger than me. So, I’m looking forward to helping them in the hilly races. I love attacking, riding in front of a race, and from time to time, I hope to aim for an own result in stage races.”

Stéphane Heulot shared his excitement for Gregaard’s addition, calling him a pivotal reinforcement for the team’s 2024 lineup. “Jonas knows what it means to work for a leader and will help the team in the hilly races,” he pointed out. He also highlighted Gregaard’s experience and reputation as a respected teammate within the peloton, which makes him an ideal fit for Lotto Dstny.

Gregaard will join another Danish cyclist, Andreas Kron, on the team. “I know Andreas very well,” he mentioned. “We were members of the same local club when we started cycling, and we still talk a lot. He only had nice words about the team and the atmosphere, so I’m really looking forward to being a part of this team and to help him achieve his goals and make Lotto Dstny better.”

As Lotto Dstny prepares for the upcoming season, the addition of Jonas Gregaard is expected to bolster their roster, particularly in challenging mountainous races.
