# Lennert Van Eetvelt Extends Contract with Lotto Dstny Until 2026
Lennert Van Eetvelt, the promising Belgian climber, has officially signed a two-year contract extension with Lotto Dstny, securing his place with the team until the end of 2026. Joining the Lotto Dstny Development Team in 2020, Van Eetvelt transitioned to the pro team in 2023, and has continued to showcase his talent within the organization.
This season has already been a remarkable one for the 22-year-old athlete, highlighted by a victory in the Mallorca Challenge and his impressive performance at the UAE Tour, where he clinched the overall, youth classification, and last stage victory.
Expressing his enthusiasm about the extension, Van Eetvelt stated, “I’m super happy to ride for Lotto Dstny for two more years. The team has made a big positive evolution the last years, which everyone sees, and I hope we can keep on making progression.” Reflecting on his journey from the Development Team to WorldTour successes, he added, “It was quite some journey already. I know the staff and riders well, it feels like a second family. The freedom I get here and the whole project of the team is just super positive and I am glad I can keep on being part of this story.”
Stéphane Heulot, CEO of Lotto Dstny, also voiced his pride in Van Eetvelt’s continued association with the team. He remarked, “Lennert is a product of our Development Team, which makes the story even nicer. Seeing his development from close is impressive; he made a big step this year winning his first WorldTour victory. I am confident we will see a lot more nice things from him in the future, and we will guide him in every step.”
With this announcement, both Van Eetvelt and Lotto Dstny show a commitment to future successes as they continue to build on their promising relationship.
