Michaela Drummond: “My ambitions are twofold for my first race”.

“Gand-Wevelgem on Sunday marks the start of a cycle of Belgian classics for the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team. Michaela Drummond will be racing with us for the first time. After Sunday, we’ll follow up with À travers les Flandres. The courses on offer are identical in content to those for the men, with flat, narrow roads, a succession of hills, and roads open to the wind, which ultimately makes these events very nervous. The 2024 edition of Ghent-Wevelgem features 170 km, which is quite rare for the women’s peloton. This distance will undoubtedly make all the difference at the end of the race.
