David Dekker: “A race for sprinters”.
“Brugge-De Panne is a real race dedicated to sprinters. The profile of this competition is really quite flat. Depending on the edition and the wind, it can also be a curb race. But I don’t think that will be the case this year. All the top sprinters will be at the start in Bruges on Wednesday, and it’s the same for us with Arnaud Démare. We can go for a good result with him. The final will be very nervous, as always, because all the teams will be focused on the sprint, and their mission will be to place the rider who has to compete for them in the best possible conditions and position. As always, this will make for a very tense and stressful finale to the race. But having Arnaud Démare on the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team gives us, his team-mates, a lot of confidence.
