Krists Neilands digs deep as IPT’s top rider at Strade Bianche

**Title:** Krists Neilands Holds Strong at Strade Bianche Despite Challenges

Krists Neilands, the top rider from Israel Premier Tech, faced a challenging race at Strade Bianche, where the unpredictable nature of the event truly tested his resilience. With mud and dust clinging to his face, Neilands reflected on the unique experience of the race saying, “there is no sport like this one.”

Despite facing setbacks during the race, including a crash early on, Neilands showed determination and grit as he fought his way back into contention. He recounted, “It was a really tough race… I managed to get back to the front group and then it was just about the legs, of course. By the end of the race I was having some cramps and I was fighting with myself.”

While the ultimate race winner, Tadej Pogačar, made a decisive move with a solo attack, Neilands battled alongside a select group of riders in pursuit. At the finish line in Siena’s Piazza del Campo, Neilands crossed in 16th place, showcasing his strength and persistence throughout the demanding course of the race.

Neilands was closely followed by teammates Dylan Teuns and Simon Clarke, with other members of IPT’s Strade Bianche debutants also showing their determination until the finish line. Despite facing challenges, including a crash that prematurely ended Marco Frigo’s race, the team displayed unwavering resilience in one of the season’s toughest races.
