Reflecting on a Successful Tour du Rwanda Experience
After a week-long adventure at the Tour du Rwanda, the cycling team “La Conti” wrapped up their first participation in the event with a mix of achievements and learnings. Despite facing challenges like altitude and loss of team members along the way, the riders showcased their determination and solid performance in the Rwandan terrain.
Team manager Jérôme Gannat expressed satisfaction with the team’s overall performance, stating, “We can be satisfied.” The riders, including Brieuc Rolland, displayed resilience and consistency throughout the stages, with Rolland securing an eighth place overall finish. Reflecting on his experience, Rolland commented, “For our first participation, we didn’t really know what to expect… I think we can be satisfied with this Tour du Rwanda.”
Gannat highlighted the unique aspects of the event, praising it as “quite an extraordinary race.” He emphasized the positive feedback received from the riders regarding the course, organization, and popular enthusiasm in Rwanda. The experience provided valuable insights and confidence to the team, setting a positive tone for the upcoming races.
As the team looks forward to their next challenge at Le Samyn, the Tour du Rwanda serves as a testament to their resilience, teamwork, and potential for future successes in the cycling world.
