Team Bahrain Victorious has unveiled its strong lineup for the UAE Tour, with Pello Bilbao taking the lead for the upcoming seven-stage race. Bilbao, determined to make his mark after narrowly missing the podium last year, expressed his motivation, saying, “I’m feeling really good and motivated and will arrive in perfect shape with the goal of fighting for the podium and maybe even a stage. It would be a nice gift for my Birthday.”

Supported by a strong team including Torstein Træen, Cameron Scott, Johan Price-Pejtersen, and Rainer Kepplinger, Bilbao will also have the backing of German duo Nikias Arndt and sprinter Phil Bauhaus, who will spearhead the charge on the sprint stages.

The riders will face a variety of challenges, including a demanding 12.1-kilometre Individual Time Trial (ITT) on stage 2, as well as iconic climbs of Jebel Jais and Jebel Hafeet. Neil Stephens, Sports Director for Team Bahrain Victorious, expressed his confidence in the team’s preparation and strategy, emphasizing their focus on the time trials and Bauhaus’ potential for a stage win.
