Tour Colombia. Harold Tejada brings first win on Stage Two
**Astana Qazaqstan Team’s Harold Tejada Secures Victory on Stage Two of Tour Colombia**
In a thrilling sprint from a breakaway group at the finish line in Santa Rosa de Viterbo, Harold Tejada claimed a significant win on Stage Two of the Tour Colombia. This marked the first win for Astana Qazaqstan Team in the 2024 season.
Tejada was among a group of 17 riders that broke away on the second half of the stage, establishing a substantial lead of two and a half minutes. Speaking about his win, Tejada conveyed, “Finally, I got it! I can’t believe as I was waiting for it for so long. In the last few seasons I was feeling like I am progressing and in 2023 the results, finally, arrived. And now I won.”
Vasilis Anastopoulos, Head of Performance of Astana Qazaqstan Team, expressed his delight for Tejada’s victory, stating, “I am really happy for Harold, it is a very nice victory for him but also for the whole team.”
Following his victory, Tejada moved into the lead in the General Classification, setting a stage for an exciting remainder of the Tour Colombia.
