Arnaud Démare Excited for Paris-Tours: “With a lot of desire”
Arnaud Démare is eagerly anticipating the upcoming Paris-Tours race, following his recent victories in the Tour de Vendée and Paris-Bourges. The successes have been a boost for Démare and the entire Arkéa-Samsic team, as they hope to continue their positive momentum in the final and most prestigious classic on the French calendar.
Démare has a mixed set of emotions when it comes to Paris-Tours, stating, “I always approach it with ambivalent feelings: envy, and nostalgia, precisely because it’s the last competition I usually take part in. The one that brings my seasons to a close.”
Having already won the race twice, Démare appreciates the event and finds it suited to his style. He describes it as a nervous race, made even more intense with the addition of vineyard paths that have “made it even ‘crazier’ in terms of pace.”
In order to achieve their goals, Démare and the Arkéa-Samsic team are fully committed to giving their all in the race, with the intention of avoiding any potential regrets. As Démare concludes, “We are going to do everything we can to make sure we have no regrets after this race on Sunday evening.”
