The Omloop van Het Houtland is known for its challenging conditions, but this year’s race promises to be even more demanding. As Capiot explains, “We know that Flandrians are warriors and that they appreciate difficult weather, so we’ll need to be vigilant, positioned at strategic moments in the race if there are any edges or breaks.”

The usual scenario in the Omloop van Het Houtland is a sprint finish. However, Capiot believes the weather conditions could change the outcome this season. “The scenario could be different this season,” he says. “In any case, we’re well equipped for both scenarios, with some good sprinters on board, but also some solid Flandrians capable of getting into the swing of a race.”
