Sepp Kuss Praises Teammate Jonas Vingegaard’s Strong Performance
American cyclist Sepp Kuss expressed his admiration for teammate Jonas Vingegaard’s impressive performance during a recent stage in La Vuelta. Kuss, who is currently competing in the prestigious race, commended Vingegaard for his strong support on the challenging finishing climb.
Kuss spoke highly of Vingegaard’s efforts, stating, “First of all, the guys did a really great job, pulling the whole day and then on the last two laps on this finishing climb, Jan [Tratnik] came back and he was riding super for us and then Jonas [Vingegaard] did a really good pace from the bottom. I was a little bit scared because he’s so strong! He really rode super for me.”
Reflecting on the team’s tactics for the race, Kuss mentioned that they had discussed their strategy for the Angliru stage and the subsequent stages. He acknowledged that while there may have been some errors along the way, they were all within acceptable limits.
Looking ahead, Kuss emphasized the importance of staying focused as the race draws near its conclusion. Although the upcoming stage is expected to be easier, the cyclist highlighted the challenges they will face in the 20th stage, which is anticipated to be a long and demanding one.
With the end of La Vuelta approaching, Kuss and his teammates are determined to maintain their momentum and give their best in the remaining stages.
