Team Jumbo-Visma Successfully Concludes Fourteenth Stage of Vuelta
Team Jumbo-Visma has successfully completed the fourteenth stage of the Vuelta a España, finishing without any problems. The stage, which took the peloton from Sauveterre-de-Béarn to Larra-Belagua in the Pyrenees, featured four categorized climbs.
The team’s race leader, Sepp Kuss, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, stating, “We weren’t worried about the escape today. It’s good to see Remco riding well again after a bad day. I’m happy for him. It was important for us to stay together as a team. We always controlled the situation.”
Kuss also spoke about the motivation he draws from wearing the leader’s jersey, saying, “The jersey motivates me a lot. It gives me sharpness and confidence.” The American rider has now taken his seventh red jersey.
Despite some attempts by UAE Team Emirates to pressure them, Team Jumbo-Visma remained calm and controlled throughout the stage. Kuss praised his teammates, saying, “Robert Gesink and Attila did a great job keeping us in a good position on the climbs. The team rode impressively once again.”
Looking ahead to the remaining stages, Kuss expressed confidence in the team’s readiness, saying, “There are still some tough stages ahead. We feel good, and we are ready.”
In terms of individual results, Remco Evenepoel of Soudal – Quick Step took first place in the stage, followed by Romain Bardet of Team dsm – firmenich in second place. Sepp Kuss finished in eighth place, while Jonas Vingegaard and Primož Roglič finished in twelfth and fifteenth place, respectively.
In the overall rankings, Sepp Kuss remains in first place, followed by his teammate Primož Roglič in second place and Jonas Vingegaard in third place.
The Vuelta a España will continue with more challenging stages, and Team Jumbo-Visma is determined to maintain their strong performance.
