Arnaud Démare Ready for Grand Prix de Fourmies: “My first race in France with Arkéa-Samsic”
Arnaud Démare is gearing up for his first race in France with the Arkéa-Samsic jersey, as he prepares to compete in the Grand Prix de Fourmies. In an interview before the race, Démare expressed his excitement for the event and his connection to the Hauts de France region.
“The Grand Prix de Fourmies will be my very first race in France with the Arkéa-Samsic jersey. It’s a historic event on the French calendar. The Hauts de France region means a lot to me, in reference to my junior and U23 years,” Démare stated.
The French cyclist highlighted his love for racing in the region, where the sport of cycling is highly popular and where he has tasted success in the past. Démare also acknowledged the likelihood of a sprint finish at the Grand Prix de Fourmies, and expressed his hopes for a strong performance from himself and his team.
“The outcome of the Grand Prix de Fourmies is very often a sprint. The team and I got used to each other in the first races we contested in August, with a fine performance in Germany, and I hope we’ll be able to do better very soon,” Démare explained.
As Démare embarks on this new chapter of his cycling career with Arkéa-Samsic, the Grand Prix de Fourmies holds significance as his inaugural race on home soil with his new team. Fans and supporters of Démare will be eagerly watching to see how he performs in this prestigious event as he looks to continue his successful track record in France.
