Raúl García Pierna Joins ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Team for 2024

Raúl García Pierna, former Spanish professional time trial champion and 4th at this summer’s Espoirs World Championships in Glasgow, has announced his move to the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team in 2024. Joining the UCI WorldTour team marks a significant step forward in García Pierna’s career, offering new opportunities for growth and a chance to compete in a different calendar of competitions.

García Pierna expressed his excitement about joining the team, stating, “I’m very happy to be joining the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS squad in 2024. It’s a big step forward for me, as I’ll be joining a team that competes in the UCI WorldTour. This will enable me to grow in sporting terms, with a new calendar of competitions.”

García Pierna also praised the team’s racing style and organization, saying, “I’ve often come across the Arkéa-Samsic team during races in Spain. I’ve seen the way they race and how they’re organized. And that convinced me straight away, as did the sporting project presented to me by General Manager Emmanuel Hubert.”

General Manager Emmanuel Hubert’s vision for the team and his personal approach to the sport played a significant role in García Pierna’s decision to join ARKEA-B&B HOTELS. García Pierna believes that being part of the team will provide him with valuable learning opportunities, helping him improve as a rider and achieve great results.

Regarding his own capabilities as a rider, García Pierna said, “My aim is to continue to perform in the events that suit me. I’m a rider who enjoys time trials and stage races. I also think I’m a good climber, but I need to work on that a bit more to hone my skills.”

With García Pierna’s addition to the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team in 2024, both the rider and the team are hopeful for a successful collaboration and the achievement of notable results in the coming years.
