Cristián Rodriguez Finishes 11th in Challenging Stage 9 of Vuelta Ciclista a España

“It was a very tough day on this 9th stage of the Vuelta Ciclista a España with difficult weather conditions. The wind at the start of the stage allowed breaks to form. The leaders were quick to attempt a coup de force, led by the Jumbo-Visma team. This broke the peloton into several parts, and I was well helped by my teammates during those tense moments at the start of the race. Then a break formed, taking a big lead. New edges formed on the windy parts of the stage. Thanks again to the whole team. At the end of the stage, with mist falling and a light drizzle, it was difficult to climb the Collado de la Cruz de Caravaca. I had good legs and finished 11th on the stage.”
