Julian Alaphilippe Makes Strong Attack at Bretagne Classic

The 258km race was our team’s penultimate appearance of the season on French soil.

During the Bretagne Classic, Julian Alaphilippe of Soudal Quick-Step displayed his strength and determination by launching two attacks during the final stages of the race. Alaphilippe’s first attack came when the road went uphill before the final lap, and his second attack followed shortly after. Despite the efforts of Alaphilippe and his team, a small group managed to escape and ultimately ride to victory.

Julian Alaphilippe was the first rider from his team to cross the finish line, coming in together with the peloton. This race marked the last French World Tour event of the season for Alaphilippe, who will now travel to Canada for the upcoming races in Quebec and Montreal next weekend.

Overall, the Bretagne Classic was an eventful and competitive race, showcasing the dedication and skill of the riders. The race also marked the return of Fausto Masnada, who made his first appearance with the team since May and launched a daring attack in the final 50 kilometers of the race.
