Get Ready for a Weekend of Family-Friendly Fun at the Maryland Cycling Classic Presented by UnitedHealthcare
The Maryland Cycling Classic presented by UnitedHealthcare has announced its full schedule of events for Labor Day weekend in Baltimore, Maryland. From Thursday, August 31 to Sunday, September 3, 2023, the event will feature a range of free activities for the whole family to enjoy. The weekend will include a community “Bike Jam,” street festivals, a stage presentation to introduce the professional cyclists, and a Health & Wellness Expo on race day.
The second annual event will kick off with a community enrichment day on Thursday, August 31. Professional cyclists and community ambassadors will visit local elementary schools to educate children on bike and helmet safety. The weekend also offers fans an opportunity to ride parts of the professional road course during the UHCCF Bridges of Hope Ride (BOH) presented by Kelly Benefits on Saturday, September 2, the official charity ride of the event benefiting the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation.
The schedule of events for the Maryland Cycling Classic includes a variety of activities throughout the weekend. There will be school assemblies, a welcome reception celebrating African American achievements in pro cycling, a community “Bike Jam” at Patterson Park, the UHCCF Bridges of Hope Ride, an official team introduction, and the main event – the Maryland Cycling Classic road race.
The Maryland Cycling Classic presented by UnitedHealthcare is America’s top-ranked professional road cycling race. The event is sanctioned by the UCI and USA Cycling and is managed and marketed by Medalist Sports and KOM Sports Marketing. The weekend celebration of health and wellness is endorsed by Maryland and Baltimore Civic Leaders and is owned and operated by the Sport and Entertainment Corporation of Maryland.
