Neilson Powless Sets Sights on Victory at Maryland Cycling Classic

America’s top finisher in the recent professional World Championships road race, Neilson Powless, is determined to prove his podium finish was no fluke as he prepares for the Maryland Cycling Classic. Powless, a member of Team EF-Education Easypost, is currently the best professional cyclist in the country and is ranked in the Top 20 this late in the season, a feat that hasn’t been accomplished in the past five years. With his exceptional climbing abilities, Powless is ready to take on the challenging course of the Maryland race.

Reflecting on his experience at last year’s event, where he finished just behind the winner, Powless expressed his excitement to return. “It was an incredible event. Huge crowds, really challenging but fun course. The organization and publicity was awesome. I can’t wait to come back and race next year,” he said.
