Maryland Cycling Classic Presented by UnitedHealthcare Announces Full Schedule of Weekend Events in Baltimore
The Maryland Cycling Classic presented by UnitedHealthcare has released its full schedule of events for Labor Day weekend in Baltimore, Maryland. The weekend will feature a variety of free family-friendly activities, including a community “Bike Jam,” street festivals, and a Health & Wellness Expo. The highlight of the weekend will be America’s top-ranked professional road cycling race on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
The Maryland Cycling Classic kicks off with a community enrichment day on Thursday, August 31, where professional cyclists and community ambassadors will visit local elementary schools to educate children on bike and helmet safety. The weekend also includes the UHCCF Bridges of Hope Ride, a charity ride benefiting the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation, on Saturday, September 2.
On Sunday, September 3, the Maryland Cycling Classic presented by UnitedHealthcare will take place, starting in Baltimore County and finishing at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. The race will be accompanied by a Human Performance Expo and various entertainment and demonstrations.
Host partners for the Maryland Cycling Classic include the City of Baltimore, Visit Baltimore, Baltimore County, and the State of Maryland. The event is sanctioned by the UCI and USA Cycling and is managed and marketed by Medalist Sports, LLC and KOM Sports Marketing. The event is a production of the Sport & Entertainment Corporation of Maryland.
