Brent Van Moer Reflects on his Breakthrough Season with Lotto Soudal

Lotto Soudal rider Brent Van Moer reflects on his second full season as a professional cyclist, discussing both his successes and setbacks. Van Moer looks ahead to his future in the sport.

“It has been a very nice year. When I look back on it, that second place in the penultimate stage of Tirreno-Adriatico was actually the start of a successful season. Of course, it was a pity to come so close to my first pro victory there, but competing for the win at WorldTour level really gave me an incredible kick and provided me with the necessary confidence for the rest of the season,” says Van Moer.

Van Moer also reflects on his near miss in the Ronde van Limburg and his unexpected stage win in the Critérium du Dauphiné, calling it a “magical” moment. He also expresses his gratitude for being selected for the Tour de France, calling it an unforgettable experience.

Unfortunately, Van Moer’s season was cut short by a crash during training, but he remains optimistic for next year and hopes to perform well in the Classics. He praises his team for their strengths and believes they can achieve great things next season.
