Israel – Premier Tech Ready to Make Their Mark in Opening Weekend Races

Israel – Premier Tech is gearing up for the Belgian ‘Opening Weekend’ with a strong group of riders, eager to showcase their skills in the upcoming races. The team’s lineup includes seasoned riders Sep Vanmarcke and Simon Clarke, who have shown commendable performances in recent races.

Vanmarcke, who won the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad a decade ago, is ready to tackle the challenging course once again. He expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Every year, it’s nice to come back to the race where, 10 years ago, my career took a big step forward. It’s a hard Classic, one where you don’t know yet who is really good and who is not.”

Joining Vanmarcke on the team is Simon Clarke, an Australian rider who has had an impressive start to the season with podium finishes in Mallorca and Vuelta a Andalucía. Sports director Dirk Demol feels confident about the team’s chances, stating, “We all know that the level here is super high and it’s going to be hard racing both days. With the guys we are lining up with this weekend, I expect us to be in the game both Saturday and Sunday. We are really looking forward to these races!”

For the following race, Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne, the team will add sprint firepower with Giacomo Nizzolo, who finished second in the race last year. Nizzolo expressed his excitement about the upcoming race, saying, “This is the first big race of the season for me and it will be special to take it on with my new team. It’s a challenging race as it’s always a big battle between the riders wanting to attack from afar and the sprinters. It will be interesting to see what happens this year.”

The team is ready to compete and make their presence felt in both the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne races, with the goal of securing top results.
