Israel – Premier Tech ready to compete for stage wins at the Critérium du Dauphiné

Israel – Premier Tech is gearing up for the Critérium du Dauphiné, with a motivated team ready to challenge for stage wins in the French WorldTour stage race. While the race serves as a test and preparation for the upcoming Tour de France, IPT is determined to seize every opportunity for glory.

IPT sports director Steve Bauer expresses his excitement for the race, stating, “After a very tough spring campaign for us, our team is now in good shape and we are definitely looking forward to a competitive race. We know our work is cut out for us, but I’m sure that our guys are ready for the challenge.”

The team will be led by Simon Clarke and Chris Froome. Clarke, coming off a fourth-place finish in Giro dell’Appennino, is expected to perform well in stages suited to his strengths. Froome, a three-time winner of the Critérium du Dauphiné, is eager to put behind his previous crash and build on his recent good form. He explains, “I’ve seen some big progressions in my form over the last two months, and I hope to continue to build on it to put myself in the best possible position for July.”

Bauer emphasizes that Israel – Premier Tech’s main focus in the race will be on chasing stage wins. He believes that both Clarke and Froome have stages that suit them well and the team will strive to achieve their primary goal of securing a stage win.

The Critérium du Dauphiné will take place from June 5-12, with IPT’s lineup consisting of Simon Clarke, Chris Froome, Omer Goldstein, Taj Jones, Guy Niv, James Piccoli, and Guy Sagiv. The team will be guided by sports directors Steve Bauer, Dror Petakch, and René Andrle.
