Vanmarcke and Teuns Lead IPT Team at Ronde van Vlaanderen
Belgian riders Sep Vanmarcke and Dylan Teuns are prepared to showcase their skills at the upcoming Ronde van Vlaanderen, the pinnacle of their cobbled classics season. Vanmarcke, who has previously achieved podium finishes at the race, is motivated after a strong performance at Gent – Wevelgem. He states, “Ronde van Vlaanderen is always a highlight of my season, this year even more so after missing it last year. I definitely took a lot of motivation from my performance there and also seeing how well the team raced at Dwars door Vlaanderen, I think we can be confident at the start line on Sunday.”
Dylan Teuns, on the other hand, will be racing on home soil for the first time this season. He believes that his performance in Volta Catalunya has prepared him well for the classics and is confident of repeating his career-best sixth place from last year. Teuns says, “It’s really encouraging that the team has been performing well in the last races, it gives us confidence for Sunday and I think we can play a role in the race.”
Sports Director Steve Bauer has high hopes for the IPT team, considering it one of the strongest line-ups for Ronde van Vlaanderen. He backs Vanmarcke and Teuns and believes the rest of the roster, including Guillaume Boivin, Hugo Houle, Krists Neilands, and Jens Reynders, have the potential for a top result. Bauer mentions, “On paper, this is probably one of the strongest team IPT has ever had for Ronde van Vlaanderen… we are prepared and we have a chance to get a top result.”
