Israel – Premier Tech’s Paddy Bevin showcased his skills against the clock in the final uphill time trial at the Tour de Romandie. Bevin’s impressive performance solidified his position as the team’s standout rider in the race.
After an exceptional sprint victory on stage 3, Bevin was determined to end the race on a high note. The New Zealand cyclist completed the stage in 16th place with a time of 34:35 minutes.
Meanwhile, Michael Woods finished 17th overall in the general classification after his challenging uphill battle towards the top. IPT sports director, Zak Dempster, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s collective effort throughout the race. He also emphasized the significance of Bevin’s stage 3 triumph.
Dempster stated, “The team rode really well all week, always staying in a good position and all the guys really committed to the plan every day. We had no passengers here and in general, I think we can take a lot with us from this race. We got our first WorldTour stage win this season and that’s a super important step. Paddy’s victory was really a great moment, and we have to use that confidence moving forward now.”
