# Team Visma | Lease a Bike Secures Fourth Place in Paris-Nice Team Time Trial

Team Visma | Lease a Bike showcased a robust performance in the Paris-Nice team time trial, finishing fourth overall. Departing as the sixth team from the starting ramp, the squad, led by Jonas Vingegaard, clocked in a time of 26 minutes and 55 seconds upon arrival in Pouilly-sur-Loire. Alongside Vingegaard, teammates Davide Piganzoli and Bruno Armirail completed the course in the same impressive time. However, they ultimately fell short as INEOS Grenadiers eclipsed their time by a notable fifteen seconds.

“We have a strong team and will do everything we can in the coming days to make up some time,” remarked Vingegaard, expressing his determination despite the outcome.

Post-race, Vingegaard stated, “Of course we had hoped for more, but this is what it is. It may not have been our best day as a team, but nevertheless we rode a strong time. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for the win.” Currently, Vingegaard trails classification leader Juan Ayuso by seventeen seconds. He maintained a positive outlook, saying, “We would have preferred to have a lead, but the differences are not huge. I feel good, so I’m looking forward to the next days.”

Sports director Marc Reef reflected on the team’s effort, noting, “As a team, we did everything we could to win the time trial. Unfortunately, we didn’t succeed. In the end, three teams were better. That’s the honest story.” Looking ahead, Reef highlighted the upcoming challenges, “Tomorrow, the next part of Paris-Nice starts with a difficult uphill finish.”
