# Zambanini to Lead Bahrain Victorious at De Brabantse Pijl

Edoardo Zambanini is set to spearhead the Bahrain Victorious team at the esteemed De Brabantse Pijl on April 17, aiming for a notable performance in the 66th edition of this historic race, which began in 1961.

Zambanini, who concluded last year’s race in 17th position, is looking to elevate his ranking this time around. Joining him is Pau Miquel, who secured 12th place last year and will play a crucial role in Zambanini’s support throughout the demanding race.

The Bahrain Victorious roster also features Kasper Borremans, Balint Feldhofer, Fran Miholjević, and Attila Valter. Both Borremans and Feldhofer are making their ascent from the Development Team, poised to gain essential experience at the WorldTour level during this one-day race.

The race will commence in Beersel at Provinciedomein Huizingen, covering a rigorous total of 162.6 km with an elevation gain of 1,677 meters. After departing, the peloton will navigate towards Lennik before looping back to Overijse, marking the beginning of the decisive phase. Riders will undertake three laps of a 20 km local circuit that includes crucial climbs such as Hertstraat, Moskesstraat, Holstheide, and the S-bocht in Overijse—areas anticipated to influence the final results significantly.

Sports Director Aart Vierhouten emphasized the challenge ahead, stating, “This race is a hard race; we need to make sure the team supports Zamba as we look to take him into the top ten. The entry into the circuit midway through the race will be a critical point and we will put Zamba in the right place to achieve a strong result inside the top ten.”

As the team gears up for this competitive event, all eyes will be on Zambanini as he seeks to make a mark on the prestigious De Brabantse Pijl.
