Israeli Sprinters Itamar Einhorn and Oded Kogut Secure Dual Wins in UCI Races

Israel – Premier Tech’s Israeli sprinters Itamar Einhorn and Oded Kogut have accomplished a historic feat by winning separate UCI races on the same day. This remarkable achievement marks the first time in history that two Israeli riders have won in separate UCI races on the same day. Einhorn and Kogut have now secured a total of five victories in just eight days.

Israeli Sports Director Dror Pekatch expressed his pride in the accomplishments of these young athletes and emphasized the significance of their wins for Israeli cycling. He stated, “Today marks the first time in history that two Israelis win on the same day in two separate races. We know how talented they are and how great their potential is. And it comes with hard work.”

Einhorn, the Israeli Road Race Champion, arrived at the Czech Tour with immense confidence after claiming two wins with the Israeli National Team in Poland. Despite a challenging battle to form a breakaway, Einhorn strategically positioned himself with the help of his team during the final kilometers. He launched a powerful sprint, securing a convincing win in the first stage of the Czech Tour. Einhorn expressed relief and pride in his victory, stating, “It’s my first win in the pro level in almost two years. It’s not a coincidence what has happened in the past week with me and Oded both winning. It’s a result of hard work and a learning curve.”

Meanwhile, in Poland, Oded Kogut, the Israeli time trial champion, continued his winning streak after triumphing in the first stage of Dookola Mazowsza. Kogut’s victory on stage 2 further demonstrated his exceptional sprinting abilities, solidifying his deserving of a professional contract with IPT. Kogut and his team are determined to continue their success in the race, with Kogut stating, “We really believe that we can win this race and what we did today is an indication that it’s within our reach.”

These back-to-back wins by Israeli sprinters Itamar Einhorn and Oded Kogut have not only made history but have also showcased the talent and potential of Israeli cycling. Their relentless dedication and hard work serve as inspiration to aspiring Israeli cyclists who aspire to succeed in the sport.
