Van Baarle eighth in queen stage of Tour of Denmark
# Dylan van Baarle Secures Eighth Place in Challenging Queen Stage of Tour of Denmark
In the grueling queen stage of the PostNord Tour of Denmark, which featured nearly two thousand meters of climbing, Team Visma’s Dylan van Baarle showcased his endurance and skill, finishing eighth overall. Despite multiple attempts from teammate Axel Zingle to bridge the gap to solo leader Mads Pedersen, the efforts fell short.
As the race progressed to its final moments, van Baarle managed to secure an eighth-place spot, placing him tenth in the general classification heading into the final day. Reflecting on his performance, van Baarle stated, “Overall, I can say it was a reasonably good day for me personally.”
He elaborated on the challenges he faced during the race: “It was a very tough race. Pedersen was on another level today. As a team, we tried to close the gap, but unfortunately we couldn’t. After that, the focus shifted to the minor placings, and I tried to get a good sprint in. Overall, I can say it was a reasonably good day for me personally. As a team, of course, we had hoped for a bit more.”
