New Zealand Cyclist Ella Wyllie Signs with Team Jayco AlUla for her Professional Debut in 2024
Team Jayco AlUla has announced that young New Zealand talent Ella Wyllie will be joining the team for her professional WorldTour debut in 2024. Wyllie, who has been turning heads with her standout performances this season, only experienced her first European racing in 2022 but has quickly made her mark in the international peloton.
After finishing eighth overall in the Santos Women’s Tour Down Under, where she competed against experienced WorldTour professionals, Wyllie caught the attention of Team Jayco AlUla management and performance staff. The team believes in her potential and is excited to have her onboard for the next two seasons.
Team Jayco AlUla General Manager, Brent Copeland, expressed his pride in bringing Wyllie onto the team: “She has clearly demonstrated her talent and raw potential with a whole host of results in her first full season racing in Europe…and we are confident that we have the resources and support needed to help individuals such as Ella enjoy a long and successful career.”
Wyllie herself is thrilled about the opportunity to join Team Jayco AlUla: “It’s always my goal to strive for my best and see how far I can go, so I believe the next step in my development as a rider is with Team Jayco AIUla…It will be exciting to see what we can achieve together in 2024/2025.”
With her young age and impressive results, Wyllie still qualifies for young rider jerseys in races next year. She is also eager to learn from her strong teammates and contribute to the team’s success. Looking ahead, Wyllie dreams of winning the yellow jersey in Le Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
As Ella Wyllie prepares to make her mark in the professional peloton, Team Jayco AlUla is confident in her potential and looks forward to supporting her growth as a rider and eventual team leader.
