Team manager Frans Maassen expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, stating, “I am very satisfied with this. The weather conditions were not really in our favor, but I think we performed to the maximum as a team. We were very motivated at the start and the guys fought as hard as they could.”

Despite facing setbacks from changing wind conditions in the latter part of the race, the team remained resilient. Maassen noted, “Honestly, we were surprised to get over the second climb with seven riders.” The team’s strategic decision to start quickly proved to be effective initially, giving them hope of catching up with the leaders. However, the wind shift in the final stretch hindered their progress.

Looking ahead to the upcoming stage, Maassen is optimistic about the team’s prospects. “Tomorrow we will know better what everyone is worth.
