William Junior Lecerf put on a commendable performance at the Tour du Rwanda, finishing fourth overall with the Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team. The young cyclist, who had previously secured a third-place finish in the tournament, showcased his skills and determination throughout the competition. Reflecting on his achievement, Lecerf expressed his emotions and optimism for future races, stating, “I wanted to do better than this in the general classification, but we had some bad luck…[however] despite this setback we fought hard and showed the Wolfpack spirit, keen on making the most of this race.”
Lecerf’s success in Rwanda comes on the heels of a strong performance at the AlUla Tour, where he secured a second-place finish on the General Classification and clinched the white jersey. His impressive results in both races have set a promising tone for his first pro season. Looking ahead, he is eagerly anticipating his next challenge at the Volta a Catalunya, a World Tour race, in the coming weeks.
