Teamwork Leads Matej Mohorič to Victory in Tour de Pologne

Matej Mohorič, supported by his teammates, secured an overall victory in the Tour de Pologne, marking his seventh GC title. Despite the devastating floods in Slovenia, Mohorič remained focused on the race and plans to help those affected by the floods. After winning stage two and donning the leader’s jersey, Mohorič maintained his position at the top with consistent performances throughout the race. In the decisive individual time trial, Mohorič limited his losses and ended the day with the same time as the second-placed rider. In the final stage, a strong team effort from Bahrain-Victorious secured Mohorič’s victory, extending his lead and clinching the maximum time bonus. Lead Sports director Michal Golaś praised the team’s performance and emphasized the importance of teamwork in cycling. Mohorič not only lifted the trophy but also topped the points classification, solidifying his status as the 2023 Tour de Pologne champion.
