In a race characterized by strategic control, Team Visma | Lease a Bike safely navigated the sixth stage of the Giro d’Italia Women, with the peloton managing to stay cohesive throughout a high-paced journey to Brescello. An early breakaway was given a small lead, but the sprint teams quickly ensured that the gap remained manageable. Mid-way through the race, the peloton momentarily splintered into several groups; however, the determined chasing riders quickly regrouped, allowing for a united approach as they headed toward the finish line.

Femke is currently well-positioned in the general classification, so we certainly have confidence for the coming days. It promises to be an exciting weekend,” Tijssen expressed confidently.
Looking ahead to the following stage, Tijssen outlined the team’s approach: “Tomorrow we’ll give it our all once again and aim to sprint with Nienke. At the same time, we’ll make sure Femke can maintain her position in the general classification.”
