# Cycling Academy Team Evolves: A New Era Begins
On October 6, the Cycling Academy team shared pivotal news as it embarks on a transformative journey after 11 years of nurturing young cycling talent, particularly from non-traditional cycling countries like Israel. Initially founded with a vision to provide aspiring athletes a clear pathway to professional cycling, the team has journeyed through both triumphant victories, including winning stages at the Tour de France, and the daunting challenges of relegation.
The team, which rebranded as Israel – Premier Tech four years ago, takes immense pride not just in its on-road achievements but also in the culture it has fostered within. This culture has served as a foundational support system for riders and staff alike, particularly during a challenging period in recent months. Recognizing the need for change, the management team has decided to rename and rebrand the organization, shifting away from its current Israeli identity.
“This step is essential to securing the future of the team,” the team stated, highlighting the sacrifices often required for progress in the world of sports.
Sylvan Adams, a key figure in the team’s journey, will step back from his daily involvement, focusing on his role as President of the World Jewish Congress, Israel. Despite this transition, the team remains dedicated to its founding promise: “to develop cycling talent from around the world.”
As a new chapter is set to unfold, the team expressed gratitude to fans: “Thank you for your unwavering support throughout the years, and especially during these past few weeks. We look forward to continuing this journey together.”
With eyes set on the 2026 season, the Cycling Academy team is poised for new beginnings while remaining committed to its core mission.
