Team Jumbo-Visma Women Misses Out on Breakaway in Tre Valli Varesine
In the final race of the season, Team Jumbo-Visma Women came up short in Tre Valli Varesine. Despite their efforts to join the breakaway, the team was unable to secure a solid lead group.
Race director Carmen Small explained that the riders had a strategy to ride aggressively and try to join the breakaway. Eva Van Agt was able to make it into the group initially but was unfortunately hindered by a crash. As the race continued, the peloton picked up the pace and caught the leaders, leaving Team Jumbo-Visma out of the decisive breakaway.
“The riders rode as a team today, but sometimes you need more to win,” Small observed.
This race marked the end of the season for Team Jumbo-Visma Women.
