Astana Qazaqstan Team, a professional cycling team, has announced the addition of two young riders as trainees until the end of the 2022 season. The team aims to provide these riders with an opportunity to showcase their talent at the WorldTour level.

One of the trainees is Igor Chzhan, a 22-year-old promising rider from Kazakhstan. Chzhan is the Asian Road Race Champion and has shown consistent progress and stability in his performances. According to team manager Alexandr Vinokurov, it is the right time to give Chzhan a chance to compete at the WorldTour level. Vinokurov stated, “We are following Igor Chzhan for a few years already and in the last two seasons this rider demonstrates good progress and stability in the races. I think it is the right time to provide him a chance to try himself at the WorldTour level and to see him in some races as a rider of Astana Qazaqstan Team.”

The second trainee is Gleb Syritsa, a 22-year-old rider who has achieved notable victories in the national calendar of Spain. Syritsa has shown strength and potential in the Spanish national calendar this season.
