Israel – Premier Tech Focused on Stage Wins and General Classification at Vuelta a Andalucía

Israel – Premier Tech is set to tackle the upcoming Vuelta a Andalucía with a strong lineup, aiming for both stage wins and a strong performance in the general classification. Sports director Oscar Guerrero Celaya expressed confidence in their options for the race, saying, “I think we can be in the mix for several stages here.” With a challenging route, Guerrero Celaya emphasized the need to carefully analyze each stage. He added, “The idea is to start out aiming for a stage win and then we will see what’s possible in terms of the GC.”

The team’s roster includes experienced riders such as Simon Clarke, Corbin Strong, and Dylan Teuns, who will play a crucial role in the uphill finishes while keeping the overall classification in sight. Clarke, who has had a strong start to the season, is eager to perform well at the race. He said, “We come here with a really strong team and we are definitely looking to ride well and come home with some good results.” However, Clarke acknowledged the difficulty of the first stage and planned to let other climbers in the team focus on the GC while he seeks opportunities later in the race.

The Vuelta a Andalucía kicks off on Wednesday with a challenging mountain stage and concludes on Sunday with another demanding day in the Andalusian hills. Israel – Premier Tech’s lineup for the race includes Clarke, Hugo Houle, Nick Schultz, Corbin Strong, Dylan Teuns, Tom Van Asbroeck, and Sep Vanmarcke.
